After reading digestive system, firstly, I learned amazing about bacteria that support our body and health. The trillions of bacteria in our digestive system played an important role for our health. These bacteria help make vitamins, like Vitamin K, which is essential for blood clotting. They also protect us by competing with harmful bacteria, preventing them from taking over. When the balance of these bacteria is disrupted, it can lead to problems like digestive issues, weakened immune response, and increased risk of infections. Maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle supports the balance of these beneficial bacteria, helping to keep our body functioning well.
Secondly, I learned about disruptions in the digestive process can lead to disorders liked gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). These conditions cause discomfort and can affect how well our body absorbs nutrients, impacting our overall health. After learning about these disorders has highlighted the importance of healthy eating and taking care of our digestive system. It's also highlight how the diet and stress influence our digestive health; so that we need to maintain a balanced diet and manage stress effectively to keep our gut healthy.
Thirdly, the stomach's acidic environment played an important role in digestion. It's interesting to learned that the stomach acid not only breaks down food but also acts as a defense against germs, preventing infections. The stomach acid played dual roles, it highlights how complex and efficiency of our digestive system.
