What are three changes in dietary and fitness habits that can help with weight maintenance and/or weight loss. Be as specific as possible as if you are recommending changes to a client/patient. You will not recieve credit for answers suchs as "eat less" or "exercise more."
I want to recommend changes to the patient that
(1) Reduce high calorie intake , minmize amount and size , encourage increase intake of high-fiber foods such as vegetables, fruits, legumes, and whole grains. Educate the patient to eat slowly, savor each bite, and listen to their body’s signals to stop eating when full to prevent over eating.
Educate the patient about their food choices.
(2) Recommend to do daily exercise . Establish a consistent exercise routine that includes both cardiovascular and strength-training activities.
(3) Educate the patient to monitor their weight and maintain healthy weight.
Not Optional: What is one additional thing you learned, found particularly interesting and/or still have a question about related to energy and metabolism.
One interesting things that I learned about energy and metabolism is the role of the hormone leptin in regulating appetite and metabolism. Leptin is produced by fat cells and signals the brain to help regulate the amount of food intake. It is fascinating how leptin levels decrease when lose body fat, which can make the brain think it needs more energy, leading to increased hunger. I learned that this mechanism shows why maintaining weight loss can be challenging, as the body naturally adjusts to resist weight change. Now I can understand more about effective strategies for long-term weight management and I can able to apply this stretegy for my weight management.
